Machine Connectivity & PLCs Module

True energy intelligence does not stop at the LVMB (Low Voltage Main Board). To precisely understand how energy is consumed, you must communicate with the production tools. The EnergySave Machine Connectivity module allows direct and seamless integration with the programmable logic controllers (PLCs) of your industrial lines.

Rather than adding redundant sensors, our SmartBox acts as a universal gateway (IoT Gateway). It directly queries your machine controllers to retrieve valuable data: part counters, instant production rates, run/stop statuses, or process variables, thereby merging the IT and OT worlds.

Machine data acquisition

Integrated OT Acquisition

Make your production equipment communicate.

  • Direct reading of PLC variables (Words, Bits)
  • Multi-industrial protocol compatibility
  • Secure reporting of process statuses and counters

Industrial Interoperability: The strength of the DidaMind SmartBox lies in its embedded protocol library. Whether communicating via Modbus (RTU/TCP), Profinet, Ethernet/IP, or OPC UA, EnergySave adapts to your equipment's language. This reliable and automated data reporting is the necessary foundation for subsequently building complex performance indicators (KPIs) and management dashboards.

Frequently Asked Questions (Machine Connectivity)

Discover how we connect your production equipment to the Cloud.

No, our approach is non-intrusive. The SmartBox typically acts as a read-only client (or master) on the industrial network. It simply queries the PLC's memory registers at a set frequency, without altering the machine's control-command program.
If the information is available in the PLC's exchange table, we can retrieve it. This frequently includes counters (tonnage, number of parts, meters produced), logical states (run, stop, fault, auto/manual mode), and analog values (line speed, process temperature).
For so-called "legacy" (non-communicating) equipment, we offer retrofit solutions. We can install remote Input/Output (I/O) modules connected to our SmartBox to retrieve physical signals (dry contact for run/stop, pulses for counting) and digitize them.
