EnergySave by DIDAMIND is the leading cloud-based industrial energy management platform. Monitor, analyze, and optimize your assets in real time.
How MBG Constructions, a flagship company of Poulina Group Holding (PGH), manages over 20 distinct energy sub-circuits and optimizes solar generation, achieving a measured 27.2% reduction in overall factory electricity consumption.
MBG (Manufacture du Bâtiment et de Galvanisation) is a major industrial enterprise belonging to Poulina Group Holding (PGH), integrated within the Universe Steel Factory steel cluster. The MBG Constructions facility specializes in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of heavy steel structures, industrial buildings, solar carports, conveyor systems, and large-scale mechanical welded assemblies.
The production plant operates high-demand electrical machinery: heavy cutting tables, fiber laser cutting units, high-definition plasma cutters, high-pressure industrial air compressors, press brakes, as well as plant-wide HVAC and lighting systems.
Prior to deploying EnergySave, the management team lacked visibility into primary load centers and could not track solar generation or self-consumption rates in real time. Crucially, detecting consumption drift, peak power overruns, and associated utility billing penalties was nearly impossible. MBG Constructions deployed EnergySave to establish fine-grained sub-metering across more than twenty key circuits and synchronize live monitoring with its solar PV array.
The EnergySave Cloud platform was integrated to centralize all factory energy vectors in real time:
Comprehensive sub-metering across the facility, providing a consolidated hierarchy from main utility incomer down to individual machines (cutting, laser, plasma, compressors, press brakes, lighting, HVAC), pinpointing primary load drivers.
Real-time solar power generation monitoring, continuous self-consumption and export accounting, alongside installation performance calculation powered by the on-site EnergySave weather station (solar irradiation, ambient temperature, module temperature, humidity, wind direction and speed).
Automated monthly consumption-versus-generation correlation, automated anomaly alerts, and instant warnings preventing subscribed peak demand overruns and reactive power penalties.
Verified telemetry data recorded on EnergySave between January and August 2026 demonstrates the concrete impact of active energy intelligence:
Continuous downward trend of -27.2% between January and July 2026, achieved through granular visibility across workshop equipment and eliminating off-shift idle consumption.
Approximately 20% of generated solar power is directly self-consumed on-site, with the remaining 80% successfully injected and monetized via grid feed-in tariffs.
Net electricity bill reduced to just 1,149 TND, delivering 2,215 TND in direct bill savings alongside 4,417 TND in solar feed-in revenue.
“EnergySave has enabled us to significantly reduce our electrical power consumption while optimizing solar grid export. We now have real-time visibility over every single machine in the plant, making daily operational decisions effortless. It has become an essential reflex for our energy management.”
By cross-referencing machine load profiles with real-time solar yield, MBG Constructions dynamically shifts high-energy production batches into peak solar hours, permanently eliminating power demand overrun surcharges and reactive energy billing penalties.
